The dried slow berries are naturally astringent and tart
Use when making Sloe Gin, wine and jam
They are also an ingredient when making jam, wine and cordial although the dried sloes will need to be rehydrated.
A delicious use of sloe berries once you’ve made your sloe gin, they can quickly be turned into chocolates.
Slowly melt a large bar of good-quality dark chocolate and pour a small amount into each section of an ice cube tray. Add a sloe berry and top up with chocolate.
Place the tray in the fridge to set. Enjoy!!!!
