Farmhouse tea and raisin wine (medium) Home Brew Recipe

  • Tie the tea loosely in a muslin bag.
  • Pour the boiling water over it and let it steep, leaving it in the liquid until it cools to lukewarm.
  • Remove the bag and add the chopped raisins (or 560 ml of white grape concentrate), wheat, sugar, and citric acid to the liquid.
  • Include a Camden tablet.
  • Dissolve one teaspoon of granulated yeast in the liquid and stir it in.
  • Leave it to ferment in a tightly covered fermenting bucket for 21 days, stirring frequently,
  • Strain into the fermenting bottle, topping up to the bottom of the neck, and fit an airlock.
  • Once fermentation has ceased, siphon off into clean bottles.
